Five Nights as Them 2: The Old and New or just FNAT2:TOAN is a strategy game where you can control the animatronics and make them get the security guard.
The gameplay from this game is similiar from the first game, each character has a charge bar, when complete you can make the character appear in a room, each room they go to will get them closer and closer to the office where the security guard is, however there are some differences, instead of the charge stopping when the security guard looks at a camera where an animatronic is, now he has to use the flashlight, when an animatronic gets into the office a bar will appear and drain, if fully drained before the security guard has the Freddy head on the animatronic will kill the security guard. Instead of already starting you have to choose between two teams, one of them with the old animatronics and the other with the toys. When you choose a team you have to compete with the other team to see who kills the most security guards through the nights. Apart from the two teams there are some secret animatronics that will help your or the other team. If none of the teams get the security guard for 6 in-game hours or the music box runs out it will end up in a draw.
A character with a fast charge(not as much as his toy counterpart), and can go to the office through the ventillation and the hallway. Instead of waiting to get the security guard in the blind spots Bonnie can already enter the office if his charge is already full in the vents. When Bonnie enters the office a bar will appear, depleting over time, if the security guard is with the Freddy head before it depletes Bonnie will return to where he started, whoever if he isn't, Bonnie will kill them. Bonnie will stop charing if flashed with the flashlight.
A character with a semi-fast charge, like Bonnie, can go in the ventillation. Unlike Bonnie, Chica can't go throught the hallway, only being able to go through the right vent, however, she will only draw back three rooms after her bar is depleted in the office, being much more straight foward than Bonnie. Again, like Bonnie, Chica will stop charging if she is flashed with the flashlight.
Has a quite slow charge, unlike Bonnie and Chica, Freddy can only go through the hallway and some party rooms to hide. When he gets to the office his charge will deplete much faster than Bonnie's or Chica's. Like Bonnie, Freddy will return to where he started if the security guard is wearing the Freddy head before the bar is finished depleting and will kill them if they aren't..
Has a slow charge, he can go to the hallway, when in there, a bar will appear at half and will charge over time, when it gets full Foxy will kill the security guard. When Foxy is flashed with a flashlight however, the bar will deplete and when it depletes Foxy will return to where he started.
Has a really slow charge, he can go to both the hallway or the ffice. When in the hallway a bar will appear, that bar differently from Foxy's will go up when the security guard uses the flashlight and will deplete when he isn't using it, when it fully depletes Golden Freddy will return to where he started. When in the Office, there will be a bar that will appear and deplete slightly faster than Freddy's, Golden Freddy will return to where he started if the security guard is wearing the Freddy head before the bar is finished depleting.
Isn't a playable character. It's music box, like in FNAF 2, will decrease overtime, the security guard will sometimes go to this camera to wind it up, leaving some time to the animatronics to act. The security guard will not wind the music box if he is bothered too much with the animatronics, when the Puppet leaves and kills the security guard the game ends in a draw.

When Toy Bonnie enters the office's right blind spot vent a bar will charge and deplete if the security guard is wearing the Freddy head. If the security guard has the monitor on and the bar is full Toy Bonnie can kill them, but if the bar fully depletes when the security guard is wearing the Freddy head Toy Bonnie will return to where he started. Toy Bonnie will stop charging if flashed with a flashlight.
Has a fast charge, she can go to the office throught the hallway and ventillation. Like Toy Bonnie, a bar will appear when Toy Chica is in the office's left blind spot vent, it will also appear when Toy Chica is in the hallway, the bar will charge and if it is completed when the security guard is with the monitor on Toy Chica can kill them. The bar will deplete when the security guard is wearing the Freddy head, like Chica, Toy Chica will only draw back some rooms instead of returning to where she started. Toy Chica will stop charging if flashed with a flashlight.
Has a slow charge, however he only goes to a few rooms until he reaches the hallway. When in the hallway he will be far away and a bar will charge, when completed Toy Freddy will go further into the hallway and another bar will charge, after it's charged he will enter the office, a bar will deplete and if the security guard doesn't have the Freddy head on if the bar has finished depleting, Toy Freddy will kill them. Toy Freddy's bar when in the hallway will deplete if the security guard is wearing the Freddy head, if it is fully depleted he will return to where he started, it will also happen if the security guard is with the Freddy head before the bar depletes in the office. Toy Freddy will stop charging if flashed with a flashlight.
Has a fast charge, however ye has to go through various rooms to get to the office. When in the blind spot vent a bar will appear and deplete faster than the other animatronics(the security guard has higher chance of wearing the Freddy head though). When the bar fully depletes, ye will stay in the office instead of directly killing the security guard. When in the office, Mangle will play yer static noise(that is less loud than in FNAF 2), which will make the other toy animatronics' bars charge faster. Also, when in the office and the security guard is with the monitor on, a bar will appear and deplete, when fully depleted Mangle will kill the security guard. If the security guard takes the monitor off, however, the bar will just disappear, so Mangle has to wait until the security guard puts the monitor on again. When the security guard is wearing the Freddy head before Mangle's bar fully depletes, ye will return to yer starting location.
Has a slow charge, but like Toy Freddy, only goes to a few rooms. When in the blind spot vent a bar will appear and deplete(way faster than Mangle's, but the security guard will have a higher chance of wearing the Freddy head). When the bar is fully depleted, Balloon Boy will enter inside the office and disable the flashlight. He has no way of actually killing the security guard, but when Foxy kills them, both teams get one point.
Each level counts as nights, through each night you go on the security guard's AI gets better and better, obviously making the game harder for both teams. There is also a optional tutorial night, in this night Phone Guy will teach you how the game works.
There are different game modes apart from the main game, some are already unlocked and other are locked until you finish the game:
Up to two or three players, already unlocked. Two control the teams trying to kill an AI security guard or another player playing as the security guard agains't another player controlling a team and another team controlled by an AI, with three players two can control the teams and another can control the security guard. If you have an account you can add your number of wins in the leader board.
The name already gives it, instead of having limited nights like in the main game, in this it's endless, security guard AI gets different and better each night. Like in online multiplayer, you can put your number of wins in the leader board if you have an account.
